Costa Sunglasses introduces the “Tuna Alley” and Wins “Best in Show” at 2013 ICAST Show

The more I fish and do outside activities during the summer months I have noticed there seems to be a lot of glare on and off the water this time of the year. It is very important to protect your eyes with a pair of the Costa new “Tuna Alley”.

For the past few weeks I have been wearing the new Costa Del Mar Sunglasses called the “Tuna Alley”.  Like all the Costa sunglasses the “Tuna Alley” have coated lenses to help reflect harmful UVA and UVB rays.  This frame style uses the polarized 580™ lens technology. These lenses will cut the glare, but the blue lenses are very important on the water to help eliminate the harsh reflective glare that comes directly from the water. While on the water, always wear polarized lenses because this allows your eyes to relax and not be strained. They will  also allow your eyes to pierce the water and see fish in the shadows and catch more fish!

The frame design of the Costa “Tuna Alley” sunglasses is lightweight, very comfortable, stylish and great for everyday wear. Costa has added a rubberized element for the nose-piece and the bottoms of the frames that will rest on your cheeks to keep the them from slipping off your face.  The vented holes on each side of the frames prevent the lens from fogging.  This new frame style is available in tortoise, matte black, white, crystal and the new blackout colors.

Congratulations to Costa sunglasses for winning “Best in Show” Eyewear at the 2013 ICAST, Gam & Fish Sportsman Readers Choice and the IFTD Best of Show - eyewear for the new “Tuna Alley”. Thess are all prestigious awards at the world's largest fishing show in the country. All these awards were determined by votes from the fishing industry media personnel and freelance writers from around the globe. At ICAST ‘Best of Show’ awards take the pulse of the fishing industry each year, revealing the most vital, innovative and problem-solving products hatched. In short, the best of the best in an industry fueled by innovation. This year, “Best in Show” in eyewear was the most competitive field it has ever been.
